How Does The Genius Wave Work?
The vendor-described mechanism
The product is marketed as a sound-based routine intended to encourage a mental state associated with Theta brain activity. Product artwork and sales language use neuroscience themes, but such marketing should not be treated as a clinical diagnosis, treatment or guaranteed physiological effect.
Theta waves in plain English
Theta is a label used for a range of slower electrical rhythms observed in EEG research. Brain rhythms vary by brain region, task and state. A frequency label on an audio product is therefore not the same thing as proving a whole brain has been “switched” into a target state.
What binaural-beat research suggests
Meta-analyses of binaural beats have reported average effects in some cognitive or anxiety-related outcomes, while systematic reviews also note conflicting results. Study designs, frequencies, exposure times and outcome measures vary considerably.
What cannot be concluded
General studies about binaural beats do not establish that The Genius Wave itself improves memory, intelligence, income, creativity or any medical condition. We found no basis to describe the finished product as clinically proven.
